At Christie Lori Design & Interiors, we don’t just design spaces—we redefine them! Our approach is bold, unconventional, and rooted in the belief that interiors should be as dynamic, immersive, and extraordinary as the experiences and memories made within them. Specializing in vacation properties, high-end Airbnbs, model homes, and spec homes, we curate spaces that captivate and elevate.
Driven by a passion for research-based design, we carefully craft spaces that aren’t just visually stunning; they’re functional, well-thought-out, and designed to enhance how people experience them. Every detail is intentional, and every material and selection plays a part in telling the larger story, with each project offering an opportunity to push boundaries. Whether it’s transforming an investment property into a five-star guest retreat or designing a model home that inspires and attracts potential buyers, our philosophy is simple: break the rules, defy the norm, and make design unforgettable.

Designer Interview
What was the overall vision for your space?
The overall vision for this space was deeply personal—rooted in nostalgia and a tribute to my high school experience. I wanted to transport myself, and those who enter, back in time by drawing inspiration from the essence of my school uniform and its timeless, stately feel. The deep greens, navy blues, and rich wood tones reflect an old-money sophistication that naturally lent itself to an equestrian influence, reminiscent of classic Florida estates with a nod to heritage and tradition.
This wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about storytelling. I incorporated elements that felt both refined and storied, layering in vintage furniture, rich textures, and even a wallpaper featuring old patents, reinforcing the theme of legacy and craftsmanship. The design echoes the sentiment that while styles may evolve, history and tradition remain constant—just like my alma mater, where uniforms changed over time, but the core values of faith, excellence, and tradition endured.
To make the homage even more tangible, I integrated fabric from my original high school skirt—an intimate detail that ties past and present together. This space became more than just a design project; it became a portal, inviting people to step into a world where heritage meets elegance, and where every detail tells a story of legacy, refinement, and personal history.
What’s your favorite thing about your space?
The design, colors, and patterns were inspired by something deeply nostalgic, yet reimagined in a way that feels both elevated and transportive—like stepping into a classic European study from another era. The room tells a story—rich, immersive, and full of character, as if it has always been there.
One of my favorite details is the club chair, with its intricate design and steel horse-head detail. It adds an unexpected sculptural element, making the space feel even more curated and unique.
What advice would you give to homeowners regarding the key things to keep in mind when designing (your) space?
When designing a home office or study, you want to create a space that’s not only functional but also inspiring. Here are my top tips for achieving the perfect balance:
1. Layer Your Lighting – Incorporate lamps, sconces, and dimmable options to create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
2. Prioritize Comfort – Position your desk to face the room, not a wall, and add a second seating option for breaks or visitors.
3. Make It Personal – This is your space! Infuse it with your interests, hobbies, and personality.
4. Fuel Inspiration – Surround yourself with items that motivate you—whether it’s artwork, achievements, or reminders of your goals.
