What was the overall vision for your space?
The overall vision for our outdoor space was to create a welcoming, multifunctional environment that encourages both relaxation and community interaction. We wanted to design a space that feels natural and organic, but also adaptable — where people could gather for social events, or find a quiet moment alone. Balancing aesthetics, comfort, and sustainability was central to my design approach.

What’s your favorite thing about your space?
Our favorite thing about the space is how it invites people to actually use it. Whether it’s a quiet moment alone or a casual get-together with friends, the design makes it easy and comfortable to enjoy.

What advice would you give to homeowners regarding the key things to keep in mind when designing (your) space?
Our biggest advice to homeowners designing an outdoor space is to think about how you actually want to use it. It’s easy to get caught up in trends or aesthetics, but function comes first — is this a space for relaxing, entertaining, dining, or maybe all three? Once you know that, focus on flexibility, durability, and flow. Choose materials that can handle weather, select furniture that’s comfortable but low-maintenance, and create zones so the space can adapt to different needs.
