Designer Interview
What was the overall vision for your space?
Laundry Room: My vision for the laundry room was to create a space that feels both cohesive and inviting by incorporating a botanical wallpaper that complements the finish materials.
Guest Bedroom: My vision for the guest bedroom was to create a youthful and inviting space for a college girl to come home to on weekends while maintaining a sophisticated design that can effortlessly transition to accommodate any guest.
What’s your favorite thing about your space?
Laundry Room: The wallpaper and reeded wood paneling behind the washer and dryer are my favorite details about this space.
Guest Bedroom: It’s hard to choose just one favorite detail—I love how the pale blue custom paneling contrasts beautifully with the white upholstered bed frame and navy nightstands, while the lamps add a soft and sophisticated touch to the design.
What advice would you give to homeowners regarding the key things to keep in mind when designing (your) space?
Laundry Room: When designing a laundry room, prioritize functionality with efficient storage and durable materials, while incorporating stylish elements—such as wallpaper, unique finishes, or warm textures—to create an inviting space that makes everyday tasks more enjoyable.
Guest Bedroom: When designing a guest bedroom for a college girl, focus on balancing youthful and sophisticated elements, ensuring comfort with quality bedding, incorporating multifunctional furniture for studying and storage, maintaining a cohesive aesthetic that ties into the home, and selecting adaptable decor that allows the space to transition effortlessly for any guest.
