Designer Interview

What was the overall vision for your space?
I wanted to create a sanctuary that feels both modern and natural – somewhere you can actually breathe. The heart of the design is all about flow, with an open feeling that lets the room blend together naturally. The color scheme is intentionally quiet, using whites, creams, and soft grays, with just a few bold touches to keep things interesting.

Natural elements are crucial, so I incorporated wood, grass cloth and stone textures, plus plants to keep the space feeling alive. The furniture had to be comfortable and the linens need to be exceptional they truely create the landscape of a bedroom. Large windows create side light to enhhance the wallpapers subtle luminous textures on the bedwall.

Everything has its place, but nothing feels sterile. It’s minimal without being cold, organized without feeling rigid – a spaces that are both purposeful and peaceful.
A signature interior should not only be visually appealing but also cater to your lifestyle needs. Consider how you use each space and ensure that your design choices support your daily activities. I will use different bedding and seasonal layering to create a narrative: warmth in the winter with a pendleton blanket, fur pillows and Libeco linens in the summer months to evoke a lighter sleeping and vacation atmosphere.

What’s your favorite thing about your space?
The thoughtful architectural pairing of these spaces creates a stunning visual harmony. The way they complement each other establishes a powerful design foundation, setting the perfect tone for the entire layout. Every element feels purposeful, making these interconnected areas truly special.

What advice would you give to homeowners regarding the key things to keep in mind when designing (your) space?
Want to design your perfect home? Start by getting clear on what matters most to you – maybe it’s having enough storage, or creating a cozy vibe, or nailing that specific style you love.

Before you dive in, measure your space and understand what you’re working with. Natural light, room layout, architectural quirks – they all matter. Then set a realistic budget, knowing where you want to splurge and where you can save.

Collect inspiration that excites you, but don’t just copy-paste ideas. Think about how you’ll actually live in the space. Plan your furniture layout with real life in mind – nobody wants to bump into a coffee table every morning.

Choose colors that make you feel good, invest in quality pieces that’ll last, and layer your lighting (trust me, one overhead light won’t cut it).

Finally, add those personal touches that make it yours – art, photos, meaningful objects. After all, this isn’t a showroom – it’s your home.
