Designer Interview

What was the overall vision for your space?
Our overarching vision for this house is to create spaces that exudes warmth and sophistication. We aim to incorporate unique finishes that are unexpected, while showcasing clever architecture. Each space and function has been carefully considered with an air of exclusivity and charm.

The Kitchen and Nook Space: We have chosen high-quality materials such as natural stone countertops and custom inset cabinetry to add a touch of luxury. The color palette is warm and neutral, with splashes of soft color introduced through the richness of the stone and accessories/decor. Adjacent to the nook, we have included a built-in banquette with a soft edged table to create a comfortable eating area. The large windows allow for plenty of natural light, making the space feel bright and airy.

Mud Room: Our design includes built-in storage for coats, shoes, and other essentials, as well as a bench for seating. Durable materials such as tile flooring and easy-to-clean surfaces ensure that the space remains functional and low-maintenance while looking as beautiful as the adjacent spaces.

Gym: In collaboration with Push Pedal Pull, the gym space is not only a space where homeowners can focus on their health and fitness, but a welcoming space with handsome storage and innovative home equipment. The design features large mirrors, a television and high-quality flooring that is both durable and comfortable underfoot.

What’s your favorite thing about your space?
In the Kitchen/ Nook area, our favorite design element is the hood. It creates a focal point that is central to the space as the key element to introduce your eye to the space.
In the Mud Room, we love the hooks since they feel very custom as the jewelry of the room.
