The Home & Garden Colorado 2026 Designer Showhouse

This year’s Home & Garden Colorado Designer Showhouse celebrates thoughtful use of space and impeccable architectural detail, where classic colonial influences meet a fresh, modern perspective. Throughout the home, it’s the small details that make the biggest impression: barrel ceilings, graceful archways, thoughtfully placed niches, and inset brick patterns that balance traditional character with contemporary style. The result is a home that feels both timeless and distinctly of the moment, designed with an active family in mind.
Built by Apex Homes LLC, the newly constructed showhouse sits in a prime central Denver location on the edge of the sought-after Belcaro and Corey-Merrill neighborhoods. Across its 4,500 square feet, the home packs in thoughtful luxury, including four bedrooms, a spacious “keeping room” pantry, and an in-home gym with a full wellness center featuring both a sauna and steam room.
Ten local design teams have each taken on a space within the home, with Marcella Domonkos of MD Designs overseeing the project to ensure a cohesive vision and seamless flow from room to room.
The house will be open to the public June 20–21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Admission is a $40 per-person donation, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting GB3, the Garrett Bolles Foundation. Tickets go on sale May 15.
GB3, the foundation established by Denver Broncos defensive tackle Garett Bolles, supports youth with learning disabilities through mentorship, educational strategies, spiritual and mental well-being, whole-body nutrition, and physical health, equipping them to pursue their dreams.
The Designer Showhouse project was originally conceived by publisher Shawn Miller in 2013 as a way to give back to the community while showcasing the evolving design and build industry. This year marks Alpine Publishing Group’s 18th and 19th showhouse projects across Denver Life Magazine and Home & Garden Colorado.
To date, the initiative has donated more than $500,000 to local nonprofit partners, including the Patrick Surtain II Foundation, Freedom Service Dogs, Habitat for Humanity, the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado, the American Heart Association Colorado, A Precious Child, and the Morgan Adams Foundation. Sponsors support the effort through direct donations to the selected nonprofit, helping advance its mission while also receiving a tax-deductible benefit.
