Hear from the Designer

How would you describe your design style and point of view?

MC Design Interiors blends timeless sophistication with modern functionality. The aesthetic is rooted in classic architecture and clean-lined forms, layered with warm textures, curated finishes, and thoughtful detailing that make each space feel both elevated and deeply personal.

We believe that nothing should feel over-designed or trendy. Instead, spaces should feel edited, intentional and enduring, bringing peace and joy to our clients lives.

What drew you to this space, and what excited you most about designing it?

From the very beginning, what drew me to this space was its potential — not just in layout or finishes, but in feeling. I’m always most inspired by homes that are ready to be reimagined in a way that honors how a family truly lives. This space felt like it was waiting to become something more grounded, more intentional, and more reflective of the people who would gather within it.

Describe the vision for your room in three words—and why those words matter.

Grounded, Timeless and Functional.

These words creates emotional stability in a home. In a world that moves quickly and constantly changes, your home should feel steady. It should exhale for you. Warm woods, muted earth tones, architectural millwork, and intentional lighting all contribute to a sense of permanence and quiet confidence. Nothing feels chaotic. Nothing feels performative.

What’s one detail or decision that truly defines the space for you?

The very deep and meditative paint colors really define this space for me. They are timeless. A timeless space protects your investment. More importantly, it protects the feeling of your home. You shouldn’t walk into a room and immediately know what year it was designed. It should feel enduring.

How did you balance beauty with real-life functionality?

Function is the quiet luxury that truly changes daily life. It is about flow, storage, usability, and the subtle details that make a space effortless. It’s about understanding how a family lives — where backpacks land, how coffee is made in the morning, how holidays are hosted, where devices charge, how laundry moves through the house. We blended the tried-and-true functional elements with the timeless form and when form and function align, beauty becomes livable. That’s when a home feels intuitive.
