How would you describe your design style and point of view?

My design style is timeless, carefully considered, and thoughtfully curated, with each project tailored to reflect the individual tastes of my clients. I use color and pattern to tell a story and evoke a distinct mood, drawing on a deep knowledge of the history of the decorative arts to inform my creative expression. My interiors age gracefully because they are timeless, well-designed, and executed with high-quality materials and well-made furnishings.

What drew you to this space, and what excited you most about designing it?

I have always loved the romance of dining rooms. As a teenager, I dreamed of opening a china shop. Dining rooms offer abundant opportunities for creative expression—wall treatments set the atmosphere, dining chairs define the personality, the chandelier serves as the crown, and dinnerware adds a final layer of style.

How did you balance beauty with real-life functionality?

I balanced beauty with real-life functionality by choosing furnishings that are comfortable and generous in scale, with imperfect finishes that reflect the character of handmade craftsmanship. Slipcovers add a layer of refinement while remaining practical, as they can be easily removed for everyday use and messy eaters. The family dinnerware is durable stoneware, elevated with a very pretty scalloped edge that adds charm without sacrificing practicality. The vintage and antique wall plate collection brings in an eclectic mix, including refined porcelain pieces that add elegance and depth. A wool rug grounds the space, offering durability and ease of maintenance while still contributing warmth and texture.
