Hear from the Designer

How would you describe your design style and point of view?

I don’t design from a fixed aesthetic or design style. I design from intention. My point of view is rooted in creating deeply personalized spaces that reflect the people who live in them. Every project begins with understanding my client’s lifestyle, aspirations, and how they want to feel in their space.

Function and beauty are never separate in my work; they are seamlessly integrated. I approach each design with a hyper-focus on livability, flow, and refined detail, ensuring the result is as practical as it is elevated.

I believe great design isn’t about imposing a signature style—it’s about unlocking a client’s unique expression. By remaining style-fluid, I’m able to curate spaces that are authentic, timeless, and distinctly theirs.

What drew you to this space, and what excited you most about designing it?

I was immediately drawn to the main suite because it represents the emotional heart of the home. It’s the homeowner’s sanctuary, a space that frames both the beginning and end of each day. More than just a bedroom, it’s a personal retreat designed for restoration, stillness, and quiet luxury.

That sense of intimacy made the design process especially compelling. I leaned into a palette that feels muted and moody, layering nuanced tones with rich textures and deliberate contrast. The result is a space that feels enveloping yet elevated, calm, sophisticated, and deeply personal. The main suite should be immersive experience that restores and revitalizes.

Describe the vision for your room in three words—and why those words matter.

Three words that come to my mind are sophisticated, curated, vital.

Sophisticated: speaks to the elevated, refined atmosphere of the space, where every element feels intentional and timeless rather than trend-driven.

Curated: reflects the thoughtful layering of materials, tones, and textures. Nothing is accidental; each piece contributes to a cohesive, immersive experience.

Vital: is perhaps the most important. As a main suite, this space must restore and energize. It should feel grounding, calming, and life-giving all at once.

These three words matter because a main suite isn’t just another room, it’s a personal sanctuary!

What’s one detail or decision that truly defines the space for you?

One defining decision in this space was the introduction of the two wallpapers. They bring a sense of English elegance, reimagined through a modern lens. The subtle shimmer and layered texture add depth and dimension, catching the light in a way that feels both refined and inviting.

That interplay of tradition and modernity elevates the entire room, transforming it from simply beautiful to truly memorable.

How did you balance beauty with real-life functionality?

Beauty without function is simply incomplete. In every space I design, the two must coexist seamlessly. A main suite, especially, should not only look elevated, but it must live beautifully day to day. The finish selections were carefully curated to make sure all surfaces were end user friendly.

In this suite, thoughtful space planning was essential. We prioritized smart storage solutions and intentional layouts to ensure the room feels effortless to move through and easy to maintain. The result is a sleeping retreat that feels serene and restorative, paired with a fully functioning bath that delivers luxury without sacrificing practicality. Every finish and surface was selected not only for its visual impact, but for its durability and ease of care.

True luxury, to me, is when a space feels as good to live in as it looks.
