In the heart of Colorado lies Freedom Service Dogs (FSD), a Denver-based nonprofit founded in 1987, dedicated to purpose-breeding and custom training service dogs, professional therapy dogs, and skilled companions for veterans and first responders with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries, young people with autism, individuals with limited mobility, and others providing mental health and crisis support. With a Freedom Service Dog by their side, individuals experience a renewed sense of hope and are empowered to live lives filled with possibility. FSD puppies with a purpose are much more than assistance dogs—they’re everyday game changers for those they serve.

By expanding their services to first responders, FSD is making a lasting difference for more heroes who have served our country and communities.

  • FSD Service Dogs assist first responders with PTSD by interrupting flashbacks, waking from nightmares, and creating space in public to reduce anxiety.
  • FSD Professional Therapy Dogs provide therapeutic support in places like police departments, fire stations, hospitals, and schools.
  • FSD Skilled Companion Dogs provide loving comfort, friendship, and joy to first responders and their families at home.

Your support is essential for the valuable work of FSD. By joining FSD’s Kibbles Club monthly sustainer program, your monthly gift of any amount will help provide life-changing assistance dogs to our nation’s heroes and others living with disabilities, at no cost to them, allowing them to lead lives of greater independence, confidence, happiness, and hope. As a valued member of FSD’s community, you can be assured that your contributions directly fund the vital needs of FSD puppies and dogs in training, including veterinary care, nutritious food, supplements, training treats, supplies, and training equipment.
